INGREDIENTS
400g | KARANA™ Minced jackfruit meat |
50ml | oil |
100g | onions, chopped |
60g | carrots, diced |
100g | green peas |
200g | water |
2g | salt |
2g | coarse ground black pepper |
200g | can diced tomatoes |
30ml | hp sauce |
4-6 sheets | frozen shortcrust pastry |
14oz | KARANA™ GROUND jackfruit meat |
3½tbsp | oil |
3.5oz | onions, chopped |
4tbsp | carrots, diced |
¾ cup | green peas |
7 fl oz | water |
½tbsp | salt |
½tbsp | coarse ground black pepper |
7oz | can diced tomatoes |
2tbsp | hp sauce |
4-6 sheets | frozen shortcrust pastry |
Preparation Method
1.
Preheat the oven to 180oC.

Heat oil, fry onions and carrots until fragrant. Add peas.
3.
Mix KARANA™ Minced jackfruit meat with water and add to the vegetables mixture. Season with salt and pepper and pour in the tomatoes and HP Sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes.
4.
Use a bowl to cut out round pieces from each pastry sheet.
5.
Grease 16 tart bowls and lay each one with sheet of pastry. Spoon in the fillings and cover with another pastry sheet.
6.
Bake for 20-30 minutes in a preheated oven till golden brown. Serve hot.
